Aluva (27:07:2015): Radhakrishnan Nair was struggling for his treatment expenses. He was working as a privet bus conductor for more than 30 years as bad luck struck him and his family in the form of an accident. Before 5 years he fell from the bus and his small intestine was seriously damaged. He spend months in Earanakulam Medical Trust hospital to recover from his disaster. The family had to sell their plot and house to accumulate the expense for the treatment which cross almost 8 lakh but couldn't recover completely. Doctors strictly asked him to avoid hard works. Thus he started selling Kerala lotteries by foot but not for long, pain on legs and weakness made him stop that also. Then the help came. He was allowed to sell Kerala lottery tickets by sitting in a petrol bunk near Narasimhaswamy Temple at Kudungaloor. He used to purchase Kerala lottery tickets from Thejass the Kerala lottery agency.

Yesterday he took 75 Dhanasree tickets from Thejass for sale, but 14 tickets remained unsold. "Dhanasree" is a weekly Kerala State Lottery drawn on Tuesdays conducted by Kerala State Lottery Department under the Finance ministry of Kerala State Government. 14 unsold tickets means a heavy lose for a Kerala lottery retail seller who sells 75 tickets per day. But yesterday was not a bad day for him instead it was the most gifted day in his life. Normally draw results of Kerala Lotteries are published in websites at 3:30 PM every day. He was informed from the Kerala lottery agency "Thejas" that he had purchased the first prize winning ticket with number DS-434728 from them for resale. For his pleasant surprise it was among one in those unsold 14 tickets with him.

As the first prize prize winner of Kerala lottery "Dhanasree", though he is credible for Rs.75 Lakh there will be a deduction of 10% as the commission for the Kerala Lottery Agency and another deduction of 30% as the Income tax TDS. This may sum up to Rs.47,25,000 lump sum. If he had purchased the tickets with delivery challan, he may claim the Kerala Lottery Commission from his Agent.

Anyway the winning of first prize of this Kerala lottery will be great relief for him. He can pay off his debt to Bank and continue his treatment.
